Led Ring Installations
RPM LED Ring Installation
Note: The intent of this step is to
make sure that the rectangular, black LEDs cover the rectangular slots in the
gauge face. This will prevent the
normal blue light from shining through, and allow the LED lights to shine
through.
1. Turn the RPM
gauge face over and tape it to your working surface with some electrician’s
tape.
2. Place the RPM
centering ring on top of the gauge face with the cables pointing down. You want to align the ring as follows:
a.
Place
the black, rectangular LEDs on top of the slots in the gauge face so that they
cover the slots as completely as possible.
b.
Do
NOT deform the ring unless it covers some of the numbers.
c.
You
will want about a 1/16” clearance around all the edges in the gauge face.
d.
Be VERY
gentle if you must deform the centering ring.
It is not designed to handle axial motion, and may break.
3. Once you are
satisfied with how the ring is centered, glue the ring to the surface of the
gauge face.
Speedometer LED Ring Installation
