Disconnecting
the Battery
Note: You may need the
radio code to reset your radio after disconnecting your battery. This is only applicable to OEM radios.
Raising the hood
1. Pull the hood
release latch located in the area of the driver’s footwell. The hood
will
unlock, and pop up slightly.
2. Unlatch and
release the hood by pulling up on the hood, then pulling out on the
small black tab under the hood and
then pulling up on the hood.
Removing the positive terminal
3. Remove the
battery cover by lifting up on the front and pulling it straight out.
4. Loosen the
battery clamp on the passenger’s side of the battery with a 10 mm socket. This is the red, positive terminal
cable. You do not need to remove the
nut, just loosen it enough to slide the terminal off of the battery.
